Mayesbrook Park School students thriving beyond school

At Mayesbrook Park School, we are incredibly proud of our students and their continued achievements as they move into further and higher education, apprenticeships and employment. Their stories are a testament to their resilience, hard work, and the support they received along the way.

JH (Year 15) has achieved an A* in A-Level Maths, completing a second A-Level. Applied to prestigious universities, including Cambridge, UCL, Warwick, and Exeter, to study Computer Science, and successfully started an apprenticeship with Goldman Sachs and Queen Mary University. His father expressed deep gratitude for the continued support from Mayesbrook Park staff.

JK (Year 14) is thriving in her Estate Agency Apprenticeship. Reflecting on her time at school, she shared: ‘I was a hot mess, and it took leaving to realise I had a lot of potential. You guys saved me, and I’m always grateful.”

EW (Year 13) is excelling at college with a 100% attendance and outstanding practical work. Tutors have already recognised his efforts and plan to nominate him for awards, moving him into the top-performing group for his course. EW remains exceptionally grateful for the belief shown in him.

JL (Year 13) is completing her Level 2 Hairdressing exams and is being celebrated as the best apprentice her placement has ever had. She is set to progress to Level 3, with her salon eager to support her journey.

Former student O has achieved remarkable personal growth. After passing his GCSEs, he studied childcare at the University of Greenwich and now works at CAMHS in Newham. Meeting his former teacher recently, he was unrecognisable—patient, polite, and proud of his achievements.

Other successes include:

SBB (Year 13): Working in the kitchens at Hilton Hotel while pursuing part-time trade qualifications and learning to drive.

ST (Year 13): Achieved Distinction/Merit grades in Business Studies and has applied to Greenwich and Metropolitan Universities.

NS (Year 13): Completing Level 2 Plumbing and starting Level 3 in September.

ADM (Year 14): Offered a place at Roehampton University to study English and Maths.

These stories highlight the diverse paths our wonderful students take - whether in higher education, professional apprenticeships, or full-time work. We remain committed to supporting every student, helping them believe in their potential, and nurturing them to achieve their dreams.

We are immensely proud of their progress and look forward to sharing even more success stories in the future.
