On November 13th and 14th, KS3 students from Mayesbrook Park Campus took part in an exciting residential trip to Stubbers Adventure Centre in Essex. This trip, a key part of the Mayesbrook KS3 nurture program, helps students develop vital life skills like making beds, washing up, and planning meals - while fostering teamwork and independence.
The students also enjoyed thrilling activities such as zip-lining and mountain biking. Student Holly said: ‘The ropes course was amazing. I enjoyed jumping in the water,’ while Luca said, ‘Mountain biking was the best bit. I loved being away from home.’
The trip supported individual development and provided insights into adventurous career paths, helping to meet the Gatsby Benchmark 3 by addressing each student’s needs and exposing them to roles in outdoor education.
