Students on track for a music career?
As part of their Level 2 NCFE qualification, six of the school’s KS4 students spent the day at Crouch End Studios in North London, where artists such as Arlo Parks and Lil Silva have recorded tracks.
The six were given a tour of the professional recording studio, learned how to use the equipment and how a multi-track is mixed by recording their own song. The students thoroughly enjoyed their visit, with one saying; “It’s a great experience for young people who like music and want to make it as a professional musician”. Another added: “We had the opportunity to use professional equipment and the staff were very friendly and taught us a lot. I’d love to go again.”
